when hunger strikes at 5am... and there is nothing else to do..
we turn to the humble poptart !

Well actually we don't seeing as they aren't readily avaiable here in Oz.

You can find em at some speciality stores but I think there is only about 3 in Brisbane.

Anyway so I still had some left over and after my first attempt at cooking them, I went away for a few mins and went back to find blackend poptarts :( such a waste.

Silly old me pulled em straight out of the toaster and I have now officially experienced my first poptart blister..on my little fingers :(

Those little things are like lava..

Anyway i re-cooked a new set and they didnt burn and they were delicious.. no wonder Americans are so fat if they think this is breakfast food for kids...

Sugary fruit.. wrapped in sugar pastry with sugar spinkled on top and sugar frosting with sprinkles... mmmmmmmmm

But it's ok kids... there was fruit in there too..

It said so on the box..

I can see my sexy neighbour laying on his bed in his undies from my bathroom window... when he has his light on i can see everything...

My window is about 2 storeys higher than him....

I guess i'll shift my focus to something else.....

For the first time in a while I have no words to describe this...

sunshine, lollipops and....

As a last minute decision by my friend Liz we went to the 'beach' at Southbank.

It's a man made beach on the river overlooking the city.. its quite nice :)

So i thought I'd get a little sun to try and get some colour back since the last time i had colour was in July.

Yeah... sunscreen woulda been a better idea..

I'm a bit toasted.. and while it wasnt bad then.. it's always worse the next day.

No photos needed of the sunburn.

I'm going back to Canada where the sun is not as harsh...

this wasn't in the brochure...

today has gone straight to hell....

I am planning a fabulous dinner party for my friends this saturday night.

As soon as I thought of the idea , different meals ran through my head...

garlic prawns on a piece of pan fried polenta with mini potato medallions and for main morrocan chicken with spiced couscous with a full bodied red wine.

All this within 1 minute and i had planned my dinner...

maybe I am working in the wrong idustry....

Dessert is yet to be advised... but believe me.. It'll be worth it

which came first ?

I am currently on late shifts for work which means a late lunch. Due to this fact I am not eating dinner at night before bed, and I wake up starving the next morning.

This happened today.

One of my favourite things to eat for late breakfast/morning tea is Subway.

My favourite thing to eat at Subway is my Chicken and Egg sandwich with mayo, cheese and BBQ sauce...

An open letter to Aaron's mum...

Dear Aaron's mum,

Christmas decorations should not be put up before December 1st...

just my opinion....

Oh and please let Aaron come to Australia next year at Christmas time cos the weather is so much nicer here... he is 27 yrs old.. time to cut the cord.
